When she founded Miss Patti’s School of Dance in 1994, Patti’s dream was to establish a school for all children to experience the wonder and joy of dance in an environment that nurtured their individual creativity and personal growth. That she has succeeded in her goal is a testament to the high level of professionalism and dedication Patti has shown throughout her career as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher.
Her career encompasses the Broadway productions of “No Strings,” “Here’s Love,” and “Hello Dolly!” and the touring company of “Flower Drum Song.” As a young dancer in the company of “Here’s Love,” Patti was assistant to the famed choreographer, Michael Kidd. She appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show three times and in the movie “The Cardinal” directed by Qtto Preminger. Born in Chicago, Patti attended DePaul University. During her college summer breaks she appeared in thirty productions at the Starlight Theater in Kansas City, among many other performances. In addition to her musical theater background, Patti also danced classical and character ballet with the Ruth Page Ballet Company and the Midwest Ballet Company.
