Keeping talent on the stage.
Through the New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts, The King Centre honors two beloved members of our community with scholarships that help dedicated students continue to train, perform, and pursue higher education.
The Karyn Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Karyn Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the memory of a teacher, mentor, journalist, dancer, and above all a friend; our dearly beloved and greatly missed Karyn D. Collins.
Miss Karyn influenced, supported, and inspired countless people over the course of her life. She taught all of us to dream, to work hard, to be strong, to inspire others with passion and humor, to love, and to never give up. This scholarship helps financially support members and students of the New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts.
To contribute, please send your donation to NJF and note "Karyn Collins Scholarship" in the memo. Mail all donations to:

The impact of a scholarship on a student.
Tuition costs continue to climb nationwide. Scholarships open the door to higher education for students of every income level and change what is possible for a young artist.
More time to focus on studies
Research shows that working more than 15 hours per week can become an impediment to academic success. Scholarships ease that burden so students can commit to their education.
Fewer loans, less debt
Two-thirds of college students now graduate with loans averaging nearly $20,000. Scholarships reduce the debt students carry into adulthood.
A bridge beyond federal aid
Scholarships supplement federal and state assistance, reaching students who may not qualify for need-based aid yet still face real financial pressure.
Filling the gap
Awards support the students who fall between high and low income brackets, those who don't meet strict need-based or merit-based cutoffs.
Teaching philanthropy
Recipients often become givers themselves, carrying the tradition of generosity forward when they are able to give back.
