
Livia Janjigian has been dancing since she was 11 years old. She became a member of the American Youth Dance Company at age 12, and continued to be a part of the competition team for 7 years. With the company, Livia has been able to dance in a multitude of fundraisers including the Dance for our Children Benefit for the
Hackensack University Medical Center Children’s Hospital. Throughout her competition years, Livia has received a variety of special awards and prizes for both her dancing and choreography. She has been a part of many performances at the King Centre , including several Nutcrackers with the New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit Organization. Livia has been cast as Mouse Queen, Lead Chinese, Lead Russian, Lead Arabian, and now Lead Mom and the Sugar Plum Fairy. Prior to graduating in 2020, Livia was accepted to The Ohio State University as a BFA Dance Major, however, because of Covid, she decided to take time off and focus on her performance career. Livia is now a teacher at the King Centre, as well as a choreographer for the American Youth Dance Company. She has performed as a lead dancer for many other concerts with the foundation. Livia has remained dedicated to her dance training, taking classes at the King Centre, as well as Broadway Dance Center, and Steps on Broadway in NYC. She has also been selected to attend workshops such as the ACE Virtual Capsule with AEV Studios under the direction of Willy Laury and Giulia Griffith. Through this workshop, Livia was able to work with reputable choreographers including Ebony Williams and Robbie Fairchild. She was featured in a short dance film choreographed by Williams at the conclusion of the workshop.
